‘Zuckerberg Sold US User Data To China’, Meta Whistleblower Reveals New Threat To US Security | Meta
A former Meta executive testified before a U.S. Senate committee, alleging that the company provided briefings to China on American artificial intelligence (AI) developments in an effort to expand its business there.
"During my time at Meta, company leaders misled employees, shareholders, Congress, and the American public about their dealings with the Chinese Communist Party," said Sarah Wynn-Williams, accusing the tech giant of jeopardizing national security.
Wynn-Williams, who served as Facebook’s (now Meta) Director of Global Public Policy, held the role from 2011 until her dismissal in 2017.
