As his mortal remains arrived from Singapore, emotional fans lined the roads, singing his most beloved songs and breaking down in tears. The 52-year-old singer, who left an indelible mark on Assamese, Bengali, and Hindi music, died in a tragic swimming accident in Singapore. A three-day state mourning has been declared in Assam as the state remembers one of its most beloved cultural icons.
