A youth in Chennai risked his life to rescue a 9-year-old boy from electrocution on a waterlogged street. The incident occurred on the 16th when the child, a third-standard student, stepped on a live wire while walking home. The rescuer, initially thinking the boy had slipped, realized the child was being electrocuted and acted despite others being too scared to help.
