Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack on the DMK government in Tamil Nadu, accusing it of shielding the drug and liquor mafia. Addressing a gathering, the Prime Minister stated that the youth of the state must be saved from the clutches of drugs, asserting that a vote for the NDA is a vote to restore safety. Highlighting the central government’s achievements, Mr Modi noted that over 6 crore Mudra loans have been provided to youth, Dalits, and the underprivileged, with over ₹3 lakh crore supporting small entrepreneurs. He emphasized the need for a ‘double-engine government’ to attract investors and transform the state’s healthcare and medical device manufacturing ecosystem. Furthermore, the Prime Minister reiterated ‘Modi’s Guarantee’ to provide tap water to every household through the Jal Jeevan Mission, while also highlighting cultural initiatives like the Kashi Tamil Sangamam and the establishment of the Subramania Bharati Chair at BHU to honour Tamil heritage.
