The Wazirabad cremation ground is completely inundated, and roads in Sonia Vihar have been barricaded and closed for regular movement. In the Yamuna Bazaar area, houses are submerged, with local residents using boats to move their belongings. There is a concern that if the water level reaches 207 meters, it could breach a retaining wall and flood the nearby Ring Road. The Delhi government is monitoring the situation and has evacuated people from the Yamuna belt to temporary camps. Authorities are making arrangements to stop the water from reaching the Ring Road, attempting to prevent a repeat of the situation in 2023.
