WWII’s Strangest Car: The Electric Egg | WION Podcast

In this episode of the Wee Onn Podcast, we explore one of World War II’s weirdest inventions — the "Electric Egg." Created in 1942 by French engineer Paul Arzens, this three-wheeled, egg-shaped car ran without fuel. Made from aluminum and plexiglass, it could travel 100 km per charge at speeds up to 70 km/h. With no doors and a lifting front, it was built for personal use during wartime fuel shortages. Though never mass-produced, it was a bold step toward electric mobility. The Electric Egg still turns heads today at the Musée des Arts et Métiers in Paris.
