Indian American engineer Mahendra Patel, a resident of Georgia, was jailed for 47 days on charges of attempting to kidnap a toddler. Patel insisted he was only preventing the child from falling when the boy’s mother accused him of kidnapping inside a Walmart. Now, CCTV footage appears to support his account, showing Patel walking calmly through the store and even receiving a thumbs-up from the woman moments later. Patel speaks exclusively with NDTV’s Allister D’Souza, says he wants a public apology from authorities for failing to verify the information.
