When Usha Vance, Second Lady of the United States, travels to Greenland later this week, it won’t be sightseeing only. She’s accompanied by her son and a high-level US delegation. She will attend the national dogsled race.
However, her trip is not all about celebrating Greenlandic traditions. It is happening at a time when the Trump administration’s interest in Greenland has raised concerns around the world.
On March 23, the White House revealed that Usha Vance will travel to Greenland between March 27 and March 29. She will be joined by National Security Adviser Michael Waltz, and Energy Secretary Chris Wright.
