We are coming to you from Atomflot, Murmansk in Northwestern Russia. Atomflot is a Russian Govt company that operates world’s only fleet of Nuclear powered icebreaker ships. The two ships behind us are nuclear powered icebreakers. They re powered by nuclear reactors. Diesel ships run out of fuel in a month. Nuclear-powered ships can work for five years after getting fueled once. These ships are meant to be used to Arctic ocean and clear a shipping passage for cargo ships. Now, Russia has 8 nuclear icebreakers and they plan to build four more.
