26/11 Mumbai terror attack mastermind Abdul Rehman Makki died in Pakistan’s Lahore due to a heart attack, according to reports. Makki, one of India’s most wanted terrorists, was Lashar-e-Taiba deputy chief . He was the brother-in-law of Hafiz Saeed, co-founder of Lashkar-e-Taiba . In 2020, a Pakistani court convicted Makki of terror financing and sentenced him to prison. In January 2023, he was designated as a global terrorist by United Nations. US also designated Makki as a terrorist on its domestic watchlist. He was carrying a bounty of $2 million on his head. He played a key role in fundraising and supporting militant activities.
