The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has taken over the probe into a deadly car bombing near Delhi’s Red Fort on November 10. The investigation centers on a suspected ‘white-collar’ terror module involving radicalized medical professionals. Dr. Umar Muhammad, a doctor from Pulwama, is the prime suspect and was allegedly driving the vehicle when it exploded. The multi-state investigation spans Delhi, Faridabad, Lucknow, and Pulwama, and has been linked to a wider conspiracy by terror groups Jaish-e-Mohammad and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind. Several other medical professionals, including Dr. Shaheen Shahid, Dr. Muzammil Ganaie, and Dr. Sajjad Ahmed Mala, have also been arrested or detained in connection with the terror module. CCTV footage captured the vehicle near the blast site, and all forensic evidence is being handed over to the NIA for a comprehensive investigation into the attack.
