At the India Today Conclave 2026, actor Suniel Shetty, who turned 65 this year, joined wellness entrepreneur Mira Kapoor and Dr Navin Dang, Founder & Director, Dr Dangs Lab to discuss India’s health paradox. Shetty emphasized that "wellness is far, far cheaper than illness" and revealed his fitness secret: "boringly consistent" discipline since his martial arts days as a teenager. He maintains the same trouser size from 30-35 years ago and avoids supplements entirely, relying instead on home-cooked South Indian food, proper sleep, and exercise. Mira, founder of Dhun Wellness, advocated for balancing Ayurveda with modern biomarkers, highlighting therapies like red light treatment and Abhyanga massage. Dr Dang, 72, stressed preventative care over illness treatment and announced that from April 1, 2026, a blood test predicting 10 types of cancer will be available in India. He recommended three essential tests: hemoglobinopathy screening before marriage, anemia testing for women, and organic acid testing for overall well-being.
