After persistent rains for the last two days in the national capital, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday predicted an extended spell of rain, thunderstorms, and hailstorms across large parts of the country, driven by two active western disturbances currently influencing weather systems over northwest India. Moreover, the weather office said the unusually rainy weather is expected to persist for the rest of the week and added that the skies in Delhi will remain cloudy till Monday, April 6.
