An Iranian supersonic missile struck a factory in Petah Tikva, central Israel, believed to serve drone technology for the Israeli Defence Forces. The missile created a large crater and caused extensive destruction, burning down the entire facility. Emergency response teams worked around the clock to fill the crater within hours. The factory’s facade was shattered, with units, machines, AC systems, and wiring completely destroyed. The strike occurred near high-rise residential buildings, and officials noted that if the missile had deviated by a few metres, it could have resulted in massive casualties. Despite Israel’s missile defence system, six Iranian missiles were fired at Israel, landing in Petah Tikva, Bet Shemesh, and other areas. Thankfully, no lives were lost in these strikes. The incident raises questions about how Iranian missiles continue to penetrate Israel’s defence system. India Today’s Sonia Upadhyay reported exclusively from the impact site in Petah Tikva.
