In a significant clarification on the Goods and Services Tax, the Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman stated that coaching and other similar commercial training centres are not treated as educational institutions, justifying the tax rate applied to them. Addressing concerns over the implementation of recent tax slab reductions, it was announced that a robust monitoring framework is being established to ensure the benefits reach the end consumers. Members of Parliament will actively monitor the pass-on of rate cuts in their respective constituencies. FM also expressed confidence that the consumption boost from these cuts will particularly benefit states like Bihar. This is because, with the same amount of money, consumers will be able to purchase more goods, leading to increased economic activity. The reforms are aimed at benefiting the common man, middle class, MSMEs, and farmers. #gst #nirmalasitharaman #financeminister #itwebvideos #taxcuts #bihar #education #gstcouncil #indianeconomy #middleclass #commonman #taxes #msme #consumptionboost #indiatoday #goodandsimpletax
