Fifteen minutes later, at 4:35 pm, Donald Trump posted on Truth Social claiming productive talks with Iran had started, suggesting a five-day pause on military strikes. The post was withdrawn and reissued with a spelling correction. Markets reacted instantly: oil prices fell and equities rallied, matching the earlier trades’ predictions. However, Iran’s IRNA news agency and Parliamentary Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf denied any talks occurred, calling Trump’s claim fake news used to manipulate financial and oil markets.
