Journalist Ashraf Wani, reporting from Beirut, said the Israeli Defence Forces are preparing for their biggest ground invasion in Lebanon. Speaking on the broadcast, Wani stated, ‘The policies, the strategies what were adopted by the IDF in Gaza are now being repeated in the Lebanon.’ He reported that 770 casualties have been confirmed by Lebanon’s Health Ministry in the ongoing war between Hezbollah and Israel, with over 1,800 injured. Wani explained that Israel has extended its evacuation orders to 15 kilometres from the border, and has dropped leaflets across Lebanon asking people to help disarm Hezbollah. He added that the conflict, previously confined to south Lebanon and Beirut’s southern suburbs, has now spread across the country. Wani noted that Hezbollah has intensified attacks on northern Israel, firing missiles towards northern Galilee and Haifa.
