Amid concerns over the impact of war being felt in India, government sources say India is in a very comfortable position in energy security. The current position of stock is comfortable and is being replenished every day. Sources reiterate there is no shortage of LPG or LNG, and also no shortage of crude oil in the world. India remains in touch with other suppliers and has a plan B in place. There have been incidents of panic buying and stocking up of fuel in some parts of the country, but the government message is that none of that is necessary right now. Canada has offered to sell gas to India, and India is looking for other alternative sources as well. India recently signed a new contract with the UAE and the US, and is in touch with major oil producers and traders. India is reviewing the energy situation twice a day, closely monitoring the West Asia conflict.
