A political war of words continues regarding the voter list controversy. Opposition MPs staged a protest outside Parliament, wearing T-shirts referring to Minta Devi, a voter in Bihar whose age appeared as 124 years on the list. India Today spoke to Minta Devi, a resident of Sivans district in Bihar, who is 35 years old. Controversy also erupted after a campaign video shared by the opposition, featuring actor K.K. Menon, was disowned by the actor. The opposition alleges the Election Commission of India is not enforcing ‘one man one vote’. An opposition MP stated, "Hum constitution ki raksha kar rahe hain. One man one vote constitution ka foundation hai. Aur election commission ki duty hai ki woh one man one vote enforce kare. Aur unhone nahin kiya hai. Unhone apni duty nahin kiya hai. Toh hum sirf constitution ko protect kar rahe hain. Uski raksha kar rahe hain. Samvidhan ki raksha kar rahe hain." The Supreme Court observed that the poll body was correct to not accept Aadhaar card as proof of citizenship during the special intensive revision of the voter list in Bihar.
