Seven pet dogs in northeastern China, allegedly stolen for an illegal meat trade, escaped and made their way home together. The dogs, from different homes and of different breeds, were spotted on a highway in Changchun, moving in a disciplined convoy. A tiny Corgi led the pack, constantly turning back to check on the others, while an injured German Shepherd was shielded by the group. The dogs ignored traffic, danger, and strangers as they travelled 17 kilometres through highways, fields, and cold conditions. Rescuers later tracked them down, and every single dog survived and was reunited with their families. The story highlights the dogs’ loyalty and unity, as they stayed together, protected the injured, and followed the smallest leader without scattering or abandoning the weak.
