Wrestlers Vinesh Phogat and Bajrang Punia joined the Congress party. The two were formally welcomed into the party by senior leader KC Venugopal in New Delhi. Vinesh and Bajrang will likely be given an election tickect for Haryana polls.
Sources suggest, Vinesh might contest the upcoming Haryana state elections from Julana seat. Ahead of joining the party, Vinesh resigned from her post in the Indian railways.
