In a massive security scare, a man armed with a gun was detained while attempting to enter TVK chief Vijay’s rally in Puducherry. The incident occurred ahead of the actor-turned-politician’s first major public meeting since the Karur stampede tragedy. According to the report, the individual was identified as David, a personal security guard for a district secretary. Police intercepted the gunman before he could breach the venue, where attendance was capped to prevent overcrowding. ‘A man tried to enter the rally venue with a gun but he was stopped,’ the broadcast confirmed. The programme features exclusive visuals of the suspect being taken into custody by the police.
