Addressing the House, Chouhan stated, ‘In the name of this bill, the work of this scheme is written… We are giving the guarantee of employment.’ The Minister argued that the overhaul was necessary to curb corruption and ensure funds reach the poor, while the Opposition, led by Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, criticized the bill for allegedly diluting the legacy of Mahatma Gandhi.
