Vaishno Devi Landslide: 34 Dead After Red Alert, Questions Of Negligence Raised By NDRF's Ex-DIG

A landslide triggered by inclement weather at Vaishno Devi has resulted in the deaths of 34 pilgrims. The incident occurred despite a red alert for heavy rainfall in the Jammu and Kashmir region, which led to the suspension of one pilgrimage route. However, the old route remained open, which has led to questions of negligence. According to eyewitnesses, pilgrims were given zero information about the alert, and the first help arrived an hour and 45 minutes after the landslide. A former DIG of the NDRF stated that agencies have previously issued warnings to the government about the area’s sandy rocks, which are prone to instability during water stagnation. The primary question being raised is, "If one route was shut. Why was the other route allowed to remain open for the pilgrims?" #vaishnodevilandslide #jammuandkashmir #vaishnodevitragedy #itwebvideos #pilgrimsafety #redalert #disaster #negligence #ndrf #heavyrains #tragedy
