Continuous heavy rainfall in Uttarakhand is severely impacting ongoing rescue operations. Four helicopters, including MI-17 and Chinook models, are unable to take off from Sarvasa, Chandigarh, and Dehradun due to adverse weather conditions, hindering critical airlift efforts. A massive mudslide and flash flood submerged Dharali village, where at least four people have died and several more are feared missing. An army camp was also affected by the mudslide. Over 130 people have been rescued by teams from the Army, ITBP, NDRF, and SDRF. Relief efforts continued overnight, but the challenging terrain and persistent cloud cover, expected for two to three days, complicate the mobilization of machinery and personnel. As one person stated, ‘The weather is your biggest adversary.’ The Chief Minister of Uttarakhand has prioritized rescuing stranded individuals and restoring electricity and connectivity. #uttarakhandrains #uttarakhandfloods #rescueoperations #flashfloods #itwebvideos #mudslide #helicopterrescue #weatherchallenge #indiatoday #ndrf #indianarmy #disasterrelief #uttarkashi #dharali #missingpersons #reliefefforts
