A cloudburst in Uttarakhand has triggered a killer flash flood, primarily impacting Dharali village near Harsin. Visuals show columns of water, mud, silt, and gravel engulfing an entire village, with multiple buildings collapsing. Authorities have confirmed four people dead and 50 missing. The number of casualties is feared to increase. The cloudburst was reported around 1:30 pm. Locals state that the weather department in Uttarakhand did not issue any alert through SMS regarding a disaster risk. The affected area, Darali Bazaar, is a small town with many hotels, homestays, and campsites, which are open during the Gangotri journey.
