The death toll in the Uttarakhand avalanche has risen to eight with the recovery of the final body from the site in Chamoli district. Rescue operations, involving the Army, ITBP, and NDRF, have concluded after 48 workers were rescued. Seven bodies are at Joshimath Army Hospital for post-mortem, while the eighth may be airlifted if weather permits. Two injured persons have been transferred to AIIMS, with 44 others receiving treatment at the Army Hospital in Joshimath.
