An avalanche in Chamoli district, Uttarakhand, has claimed seven lives. Rescue operations are ongoing with 46 people rescued so far. One person remains missing. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is closely monitoring the situation. The Army, IAF, NDRF, and SDRF are involved in the rescue efforts, using MI-17 and Cheetah helicopters. The avalanche was triggered by a glacier burst at Mana village, burying 55 BRO construction workers.
