The United States has deployed Task Force Scorpion Strike for the first time in operations against Iran, using Lucas kamikaze drones manufactured by an Arizona-based company. The Lucas drone weighs 70 pounds with a maximum takeoff weight of 180 pounds, has a range of 600 to 800 kilometres, and costs approximately 35,000 dollars. It can carry 18 to 20 kilograms of explosives including high explosive fragmentation warheads and shape charge warheads. The drone features delta wing design, pusher propeller, AI-enabled mesh networking, and anti-jamming capabilities. Zevika Klein, Editor-in-Chief of the Jerusalem Post, stated that Israel and the United States are winning, describing the cooperation as unprecedented. Brigadier General Yossi Kupferwasser of the Jerusalem Institute of Strategy and Security indicated that no Israeli or American boots will be on ground in Iran, stating the goal is to create conditions enabling Iranian people to take control. Reports suggest Washington is exploring Kurdish forces as a pressure point, though the Kurdistan Regional Government in Iraq has denied involvement.
