The United States says it has no plans to target the energy sector of Iran despite the escalating war involving Israel.
According to Chris Wright, Washington is “targeting zero energy infrastructure” in Iran. He said the US military campaign is focused strictly on military capabilities, not on Iran’s oil or natural gas industry.
The statement comes after reports that Israeli strikes hit fuel depots around Tehran, sparking large fires and raising fears of a wider energy crisis.
