US President Trump Signs Peace Deal With Armenian PM & Azerbaijani President At The White House
On August 8, 2025, US President Donald Trump hosted Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev at the White House for a historic peace summit. The leaders signed a landmark joint declaration to end decades of conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan, particularly over the Nagorno-Karabakh region, marking the first such agreement since the Cold War. The deal establishes the "Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity," a 20-mile multi-modal transit corridor through Armenian territory connecting Azerbaijan to its Nakhchivan exclave, facilitating trade, energy, and infrastructure development with exclusive US development rights.
