An American Airlines flight from Wichita to Reagan National Airport collided with a police helicopter near Washington DC. The incident occurred as the plane was approaching to land. Fatalities have been reported. A search and rescue operation is underway in the Potomac River. All runways at Reagan National Airport have been closed.
