The United States and Israel have struck a fuel depot in Tehran, Iran’s capital, marking the first time oil infrastructure has been targeted since the conflict began. The Shahran oil depot on Janata Koshagar Boulevard in west Tehran was hit by three strikes, causing massive fires and thick smoke visible across the city of 10 million people. Iran claims Israel struck the Agassi fuel depot, with visuals showing flames and smoke billowing from the facility. The attack represents a significant escalation, as oil infrastructure had not been previously targeted by Israeli and American strikes in Iran. Concerns have been raised about the air quality impact in Tehran, which already suffers from poor air conditions. The strike follows indications from Donald Trump about massive escalation and attacks on Iran.
