Iran has sharpened its warning on ceasefire violations, asserting that any breach, particularly in Lebanon and across the “Axis of Resistance”, will invite “explicit costs and strong responses.”
Lebanon was hit by fresh strikes despite a two-week US-Iran ceasefire with at least 254 people killed and over 800 injured in one of the heaviest waves of Israeli strikes on the country.
Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf, Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, outlined key positions in posts on X, saying that Lebanon and the entire Resistance Axis, as Iran’s allies, form an inseparable part of the ceasefire under a 10-point proposal framework. He stressed that any violation of these terms would be met with firm retaliation and called for an immediate halt to hostilities, saying the fire must be extinguished without delay.
