The US has quietly urged Israel to tone down its campaign and move towards dialogue, with Trump emphasising a more "low-key" approach even as signals from Tel Aviv remain mixed. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has opened the door to talks, but continues to maintain that operations against Hezbollah will not pause. The fallout has been severe, with more than 300 people killed in Lebanon. At the same time, Beirut has begun indicating a shift in its own stance, with moves targeting armed groups seen as part of a broader attempt to align with diplomatic efforts. Iran has responded with sharp warnings, arguing that ongoing attacks undermine the very basis of negotiations and risk collapsing an already fragile truce.
