U.S. President Donald Trump said the war against Iran could be a “short-term excursion” as American forces advance faster than expected in the campaign.
Speaking at a Republican gathering in Doral, Florida, Trump claimed the U.S. military was ahead of its planned four-to-five-week timeline for the assault.
In an interview with CBS, Trump said the war was “very complete, pretty much,” and asserted that Iran had “no navy, no communications, no air force.”
His remarks come as the conflict continues to escalate across West Asia, with global markets and governments closely monitoring the military and geopolitical fallout.
