US President Donald Trump has detailed a massive and ‘audacious’ rescue mission to recover two American airmen after their F-15 was downed over Iran. Hailing it as one of the largest operations ever, Trump stated it involved 155 aircraft and complex CIA deception tactics. However, the President issued a stern warning to an unspecified media outlet, threatening jail time for journalists unless they reveal the source of a leak regarding the second missing pilot. Trump claimed the leak alerted Tehran, making the search far more difficult by triggering a nationwide manhunt and a bounty for the airman’s capture. He described the leaker as a ‘sick person’ and cited national security as the justification for potential imprisonment. Additionally, Trump issued a sharp warning to the Iranian regime, stating the city could be ‘taken out in one night’ if they do not ‘choose wisely.’ The mission, which spanned days, saw the aircraft landing on ‘crummy’ wet sand to retrieve the stranded personnel.
