US President Donald Trump has claimed that Iran is “about to surrender” as the war between Iran and the US-Israel alliance enters its 14th day. The remark was reportedly made during a call with G7 leaders, according to officials familiar with the discussion.
Meanwhile, US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth said American and Israeli forces have struck more than 15,000 targets across Iran since the conflict began, averaging over 1,000 strikes a day.
Airstrikes have targeted multiple Iranian cities including Tehran, with missile launchers, air defence systems and weapons facilities among the reported targets. Iran has continued retaliatory drone and missile attacks as the conflict intensifies across the region.
