Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer has accused U.S. President Donald Trump of lying about the bombing of an Iranian girls’ school that killed more than 160 students. Schumer disputed Trump’s claim that Iran was responsible for the attack.
The deadly blast struck the Shajareh Tayyebeh girls’ school in Minab on February 28, killing at least 168 people, most of them schoolchildren.
Evidence from satellite imagery and video analysis has suggested that a U.S.-made Tomahawk missile may have been used in the strike. U.S. officials have said the Pentagon is investigating the incident, which has become the deadliest single civilian attack in the ongoing Iran war.
