Furthermore, the United States has declared its intention to ensure safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz, warning that its navy will intercept any ships paying illegal tolls to Iran. With the Strait of Hormuz responsible for twenty percent of the global energy supply, the escalating military buildup and hardened diplomatic positions raise significant concerns about the high possibility of war reigniting.
