Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says Israel’s military campaign aims to stop Iran from moving key nuclear and ballistic missile projects underground.
Speaking during the ongoing conflict, Netanyahu said Israeli strikes are targeting Iran’s nuclear infrastructure, missile systems and leadership networks in an effort to prevent Tehran from relocating sensitive projects to deeply buried facilities that would be harder to destroy.
Netanyahu has argued that allowing Iran to shift nuclear work underground would make the programme far more difficult to target militarily. Israel has carried out multiple strikes on Iranian nuclear and military sites as part of its broader campaign against Tehran’s nuclear and missile capabilities.
