Gulf leaders view degrading Iran’s power as a long-term priority and fear a quick end might allow Iran to threaten vital oil infrastructure again. While Gulf states did not initially ask the US to go to war with Iran, they are now pressing Washington to ensure Iranian capabilities are completely destroyed. Meanwhile, the US is urging Gulf states to join the ongoing West Asia conflict.
