G7 leaders and ministers have held another round of talks led by France, focusing on the worsening global fuel supply crisis triggered by the ongoing Iran conflict. The meeting comes amid rising oil prices and disruptions to energy flows, particularly through the Strait of Hormuz.
The group said it is ready to take “all necessary measures” to stabilise energy markets, including coordinated action with partners and potential use of strategic oil reserves.
Officials also warned against export restrictions on oil and gas, as concerns grow over inflation, supply shortages and wider economic fallout from the conflict.
Energy security remains the central issue, with global markets under pressure from supply disruptions and continued escalation in the Middle East.
