The race for the White House reaches its climax as millions of Americans cast their votes to choose the next United States president. The competition is neck and neck between Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democrats’ presidential nominee, and Donald Trump, the Republican presidential nominee. Voting is underway in more than 20 states, including crucial swing states in Pennsylvania, Georgia and Michigan. Both candidates need at least 270 electoral votes to win. The results are expected to start trickling in from 4.30 in the morning, Indian Standard Time.
