In Andhra Pradesh, the shrimp industry, which exports 30,000 crores worth of products to the US, faces uncertainty affecting around 4,00,000 families. The knitwear sector in Tirupur and Rajasthan’s handicraft exporters report that business worth thousands of crores and lakhs of jobs are at risk. In response, one industry voice stated, "We are a country with a population of 145 crores. And a country with a population of 34 crores is threatening us. This is very childish."
