On the codeine cough syrup case, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that no accused person will be spared. He warned that when the time comes, bulldozer action will also be taken, and people should not complain later.
He said the government has registered 79 cases so far, naming 225 accused. Out of them, 78 people have been arrested. Raids have been carried out on 134 companies. CM Yogi added that if the case is investigated deeply, it will eventually lead to some leader or person linked to the Samajwadi Party.
He also said that the High Court has ordered that the entire case be handled under the NDPS Act. According to him, the Uttar Pradesh government fought the case in court and won.
