Police investigations revealed that Roshni and her live-in partner, Udit, allegedly committed the crime and stayed with the body for over 24 hours. The initial complaint claimed the husband climbed four storeys to commit the murder, but this was contradicted by evidence. The husband, who has difficulty walking, had a different mobile location, and the autopsy report indicated the death occurred 36 hours before it was reported.
