In Uttar Pradesh, an investigation into a religious conversion ring has revealed the suspected involvement of four government officers. According to police sources, an Additional District Magistrate (ADM), two circle officers, and an inspector who served in Balrampur between 2019 and 2024 are now under surveillance for suspicious activities. The officials are suspected of assisting the main accused in the case, including in the purchase of land. Sources also allege the officers provided the accused with information about the case and potential police action to help him evade arrest. The SDF had previously found evidence against the ADM and the inspector, but no action was reportedly taken at that time. The probe is ongoing.
