Unnao Rape Case Twist: CBI To Move SC Against Bail To Kuldeep Sengar | Victim’s Family Opposes

Unnao Rape Case LIVE: In a significant development, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has decided to file a Special Leave Petition (SLP) in the Supreme Court challenging the Delhi High Court’s decision to suspend the life sentence of former BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar in the 2017 Unnao rape case.

CBI officials confirmed that the agency, along with the victim’s family, had strongly opposed the suspension of sentence before the High Court. The CBI had submitted written arguments and timely replies against Sengar’s appeal. The victim’s family continues to raise concerns over safety and threats, urging swift justice.
