The interim budget for 2025-26 has been presented, offering significant tax relief for the middle class. The income tax exemption limit has been raised from 7 lakh to 12 lakh rupees. Farmers will benefit from an increase in credit card limits from 3 lakh to 5 lakh rupees. The budget also includes provisions for cancer centres in every district and continuation of interest-free loans for states. Opposition parties, including Congress and AAP, walked out during the budget presentation.
